Fanfiction/Writing Forum?

Um, I know we don't have too many members yet, but I was thinking for later on. People like to write and maybe we should have a forum where people can posts their writings or original stores they feel like sharing? Just something I wanted to throw out. <.<

I agree with this idea. With anime and manga comes with lots of fanfics, or people who just like to write.

We do have an artistic thing, an there is fanfiction, if people want to post those links? I'm not sure how this would work, exactly. Would the stories people post be allowed only for them to post in, or would others be allowed to post anytime they wanted? Would they post the entire story, or chapters at a time?

I say just make it similar to the Artist Gallery board.

Perhaps a person can dedicate a thread to their works, updating it like in the Artist Gallery threads, and people can critique and comment if the OP suggests it.

So why should there be an entirerly new forum for writing, when you can use the artist gallery?

Eh, writing and visual arts are two different kinds of arts. Lumping them together would be a bit... unorganized. Perhaps make sub-forums in the artist gallery. One for drawings and stuff and another for writing.

They are still art. And there are still places where we could read them better, like fanfiction.net or deviantart, etc.

They aren't that far away from each other. We can't tell people not to reply in that thread just because someone's story isn't finished. Though, if a large amount of writing and all that is made, then a writing forum may be more plausbile.

As it stands, they are close enough and have the same meaning and will eb applied the same way, different categories or not.

The only reason why manga and anime are separate is because their stories are different, some of the time and some things come out sooner than others, or later, etc.

Writing and art are only here to serve for entertainment purposes, really. The forum could do without them, since the anime club focuses more on anime and manga (all types). Though if you all want fanfiction and drawings to have a greater hand in the club, you could speak up and say so in the agenda. Maybe it could turn into an activity.

Though, since manga contains books (or at least you can bring up books in the manga section), I guess we could just change them all to what you watch, what you read, and your art. That way everyone's happy.
